Comments from attendee Janet Alexander
I went to my first staycation in April held in the Lion’s Club of Ajax building. Plenty of parking and located by a walking trail where you can stretch your legs when you want a sewing break. The space is cozy but doesn’t feel crowded and I could leave my stuff there over night which I appreciated.
The food and snacks were generous and lots of water, pop or coffee/tea. I wondered if the games were going to be hokey. They weren’t and were light-hearted fun.
It wasn’t noisy. Everyone was doing her own thing. Yes, people socialized, but, the focus was the quilting. As a newcomer, I felt included and there was always someone who could help or answer any questions. Great way to get to know the guild ladies. I’d attend again and have a current project cut out and ready to sew.
